Leslie Mann is the hilarious and effervescent actress that pops up in many of Judd Apatow’s fims – in Knocked Up she was Katherine Heigl’s sister who had memorable marital strife with Paul Rudd’s character. She is married to Apatow and has a lead role in his upcoming film Funny People.
The most interesting thing I read in my July 2009 issue of Vogue was a short article on Mann. Best part:
She met her future husband at an audition for his 1996 movie The Cable Guy, and when she left the room he instantly announced, “There goes the future Mrs. Apatow.”
Meanwhile, she didn’t remember him. “I had to spend two years stalking her,” cracks Apatow, who tells [article writer John Powers] that he depends heavily on Mann’s counsel. “Hollywood is not known for people focusing on three-dimensional parts,” says Apatow, “but Leslie pushes me to do better work – to go emotionally deeper.”
